Description
Naalbinding is a ancient form of fabric creation which predates both knitting and crochet. The earliest fragment of nalbinding dates back to the 7th century BC. Nalbinding is done with a length of thread passed through a large needle. The thread is then fed through loops in often intricate patterns. Nalbinding was found throughout the ancient world in widely spaced areas such as Scandinavia, Peru and the Middle East.
Our needles are made from a variety of hardwoods. These needles are 3, 4 or 5 inches long and finished to a smooth and silky texture. They will not catch on even the finest wools. Our naalbinding needles are made from wood so natural variations in color and grain is normal. All of our products are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for us to make your item.
