A lucet is an ancient tool probably dating back to the Vikings and Medieval periods to make cords and braids. The resulting cord is strong and can approximate knitting. They are often used by handcrafters and Reenactors to make cord for a variety of purposes. This lucet is great for children and adults from beginners to experts. Double lucets have 4 horns and can expand the range of types of cord you can produce.

These lucets are made from a variety of different woods. The beauty of the exotic woods add a new dimension to the handling of these pieces. The lucets are polished and are extremely smooth to the touch. Your threads will not get caught on these finely finished tools.  All these lucets are made by hand, variation in Appearance, size and color is normal.  All of our products are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for us to make your item.

    I just got my Double Lucet today and have to give it a try. The wood feels awesome and silky in my hands, the yarn I was using didn’t catch or snag at all. This lucet was a dream to work with and I’m so glad I got it.
